The artist aims to achieve her goal with your help, by literally spreading authentic images of real Buffalo women around town on these beautiful, high-quality t-shirts.
Each shirt features a woman’s portrait along with words she either wrote or chose herself. Khadijah’s original quote reads: “My daughter and the other young girls in the black and brown communities should always know that our skin color shouldn't and doesn't dictate how successful we are or can be in life.”
Khadijah grew up in Buffalo, and has advocated for her community around many issues, including those she faced herself as a young adult. Today she serves as an advocate for public school issues, a community health worker, a substance use disorder and mental health counselor. Her powerful mind and prodigious energy continue to fuel her commitment to improving life for those struggling the most in Buffalo. She holds an associate’s degree in Social Sciences (2020), a Bachelor’s of Social Work (2022) and a Master’s of Social Work (2023).
